The resolution remains at 720p however, so you won’t get a sharper picture compared to the standard Switch. The OLED technology should boost the console’s contrast, making colours appear punchier, and dark environments more detailed. The biggest new feature about the new Nintendo Switch is its 7-inch OLED display. Game UK is currently offering the Switch OLED for £309.99, although we can’t be sure whether that’s the official RRP. When we asked Nintendo about the UK price it said, “In the UK the pricing is set by the retailers themselves.” The Nintendo Switch OLED will be priced at $350. Other retailers, including Nintendo, are expected to open-pre-orders for the Switch OLED in the coming days. Pre-orders seem to be live at Game UK, but the white model has already ran out of stock.
